Max Gazzè at Teatro Duse – from November 5 to 7, 2026
Max Gazzè returns live with an autumn tour that confirms his tendency to break the mould: more than 40 dates between October and December, built around a precise and anything but conventional idea, that of an artistic “residency”. Each stop will be another chapter in a story capable of evolving night after night.
In the case of Bologna, the singer-songwriter will perform at Teatro Duse between the evening of Thursday, November 5 and Saturday, November 7, 2026, always starting at 9:00 pm.
In keeping with a career that has always made live performance a field for experimentation, this tour also promises to be an experience in motion, faithful to the artist’s creative spirit. The stop at Teatro Duse fits perfectly into this vision, transforming the historic theatre into a living laboratory, where every evening can offer different nuances and unique moments.
A format that marks another step in Gazzè’s live history, which has always been characterised by original choices, and which accompanies the release of the new album L’ornamento delle cose secondarie.
Heaven on Earth. Saint Francis and Bologna between the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries – all November
With the exhibition Heaven on Earth. Saint Francis and Bologna between the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries, the new project of the Pinacoteca Nazionale di Bologna opens in the Salone degli Incamminati, at Via Belle Arti 56, for the entire month of November 2026.
Organised on the occasion of the eighth centenary of the death of the Poverello of Assisi and arranged along a route that also extends into the exhibition rooms of the Pinacoteca, the exhibition compares works from the collections of the National Museums of Bologna with significant loans from national museums, concretely inaugurating this new project aimed at enhancing the collections.
Journey to Hong Kong at Teatro Arena del Sole – from November 11 to 15, 2026
French director Pascal Rambert has composed for Sandro Lombardi a monologue about love, absence and loneliness at the end of a shared life.
After its success in France and Mexico, Journey to Hong Kong arrives in Italy in a new version. The author shaped the work around the actor, highlighting his talent and the profound quality of his stage presence. At the centre is an elderly writer, shut inside a room on the thirtieth floor of a hotel in Hong Kong. He has just received an award, but after losing his partner he decides to put his belongings in order and disappear quietly. Around him remain objects, memories, joys, sorrows and fragments of a life shaped by love. In the bed, in everyday gestures, in the rooms and in things, traces of the other remain, even when the other is no longer there. Lombardi gives body and voice to this absence with rare restraint, transforming pain into an intimate, clear and deeply human portrait.
The performance will be presented at the Sala Thierry Salmon at Teatro Arena del Sole, Via dell’Indipendenza 44, from November 11 to 15, 2026.
Osteria Giacobazzi at Teatro Celebrazioni – Tuesday, November 17, 2026
Giuseppe Giacobazzi returns to his roots, to the Osteria where, virtually, everything began. The events at Celebrazioni will transform the Theatre into the Osteria Giacobazzi, a forge of stories, anecdotes, atmospheres and humanity that shaped the comedian’s storytelling style.
The show is a happening, different every evening, where interviews, classic and new monologues, experiments, stories of the protagonist’s real-life anecdotes, performances by invited guests and a few surprises alternate.
On stage, around ten tables in an osteria style host “everyday characters”, randomly selected from the audience on the same evening, and a couple of guests who have come to visit the host. Giacobazzi will be supported on stage by Andrea Vasumi, in the role of the assistant innkeeper, with his lazy and irreverent manner. The show is an explosive mix, a unique and unrepeatable event every evening.
This month, the event is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at 9:00 pm.
Francesca Michielin at Teatro EuropAuditorium – Sunday, November 22, 2026
Francesca Michielin returns live in autumn 2026 with a tour that will take her to the most important theatres in Italy, also stopping at Teatro EuropAuditorium in Bologna, Piazza Costituzione 4, on the evening of Sunday, November 22, 2026, at 9:00 pm.
More than two and a half hours of live performance, developed in four acts, of music that embraces, stories that move and moments that leave a lasting impression: from rediscovering herself even in her imperfections to reflecting on love as a force that transforms scars into music, all the way to returning to the innocence of childhood in order to look at the future with new eyes.
On stage, an all-female band made up of multi-instrumentalists Viviana Colombo, Giorgia Canton, Sofia Volpiana and Maura De Santis.
Davis Cup tennis in Bologna – from November 24 to 29, 2026
The Davis Cup, the world championship of tennis, returns to BolognaFiere from November 24 to 29, 2026. Eight nations compete to win the coveted trophy in a six-day event held in a host city at the end of the tennis season, in November. This year’s Final 8 will once again take place in Bologna, Italy. The hosts have been awarded a wild card to participate in the competition, having won the tournament over the last three years.
The defending champions, Italy inherited the event from Malaga starting last year, becoming the stage for the spectacular final act of the 112th edition (the 2025 edition), with the world’s eight best national teams competing. Last year, the Azzurri achieved a historic third consecutive Davis Cup victory (their fourth title overall), following the triumphs achieved on Spanish soil by Sinner and his teammates. The team captained by Filippo Volandri was able to count on the decisive support of the Bologna crowd. And so it will be again in 2026.
